Description
The Maximus Gladius from the movie Gladiator is a fictional interpretation of a Roman gladius, the short sword used by Roman soldiers. While inspired by historical swords, it incorporates design elements and a length more akin to a spatha, a longer sword that came into use later. The sword features a polished wooden pommel and guard with golden accents and a faux bone or ivory handle. It includes a wooden, synthetic leather-wrapped scabbard with metal accents.
